Long-time drag racing artist Todd Howe has two prints available, one brand new, the other reissued by popular demand.
“Go Win Indy,” his latest print celebrates Tom McEwen’s emotional Funny Car victory at the 1978 NHRA U.S. Nationals.
In a true storybook final round match, “Mongoo$e” defeated rival Don “The Snake” Prudhomme in a race that was selected as Indy’s Most Memorable.
“Go Win Indy” were among the last words that Tom’s young son Jamie said before passing from leukemia days before the race. These are autographed by racing legends Mongoo$e and Snake. (500 limited edition 25 x 17-inch heavy stock lithographs priced at $75.)
“Yeakel& The ‘Goose,” depicts one of the most feared Top Fuel Dragsters in 1965, the famed Yeakel Plymouth Special, owned by Lou Baney and driven by The Mongoo$e.
Howe has recently reintroduced this 18 x 24-inch limited edition print (signed by McEwen and priced at $50) in celebration of the upcoming movie detailing the history of Snake and Mongoo$e.
The print is a cover image of Drag Racer Magazine (to commemorate McEwen’s #16 all-time NHRA ranking). The Yeakel dragster has been faithfully restored and is a favorite on the Cacklefest circuit today.
