Once again, TOP/SS is being run in Division 3 at NHRA National Open events. The cars run at 6.5-pound/hp of NHRA factoring and must be legal SS cars, in regard to motor and chassis specs. What makes this more exciting (and appealing) is that they race heads-up on a Pro Tree with no break-out. Stick-shift and automatic transmissions are both eligible.

Three events were run in '06, the third of which, contested at the Indy National Open, was a great step towards the return of heads-up Super Stock racing, as far as spectator and driver interest is concerned. Now as an added bonus, the 2007 series will have a points system with year-end prizes to be determined.
